The article was entitled "The Lights and the Stars of Broadway, " by John Corbin. It looks to me like a combination of gouache or opaque watercolor with pastel colors picking up highlights, but that's just a guess.         "In Town it's Different," for "The Play's the Thing," by Albert White Vorse in Scribner' s Monthly Magazine for August 1899. Click on image to enlarge it.  It could have been done in litho pencil with watercolor washes, transparent and opaque on top.          Scene on The Lower East Side Pastel on paper 16 3/8 x 10 7/8 inches (41.9 x 27.9 cm) Private collection     Bathing at Bellport, Long Island, 1912                                                                              William Glackens (1870-1938)   펜실바니아 아카데미가 낳은 윌리엄 글래컨스1870-1938 는 필라델피아의 신문사와 잡지사에서 삽화가로 일을 했다.그는 슬론의 고등학교 친구  였고 헨리와 스튜디오를 함께 썼으며 프랑스에도 함께 갔다.  전함 메인 호가 아바나항에서 침몰하자 [매클루어스 매거진]은 스페인- 미국 전쟁 의 취재를 위해 글래컨스를 쿠바로 견했다.  이전의 룩스와 달리 글래컨스는 산후안 힐과 같은 격전지에서 목숨을 걸고 그림의 소재를 구했다.그 의 대표작으로는 아이와 어른들의 눈을 즐겁게 하는 따뜻한 밤 풍경을 그린  [센트랄 파크-겨울]1905, 그리고 드가의 [압생트 술꾼들]을 주택가 로 옮겨 놓은 [무캥에서](1905) 그리고 [권투시합 1906. 7.4] 등이 있다. 그는 에버렛 신 Everett Shinn (1876-1953) , 어네스트 로슨 Ernest Lawson(1873-1939), 조지 룩스George Luks (1867-1933), 로버?                                                                   보케리니 / 풀룻 5중주 I.
