I Wandered Lonely As a Cloud - William Wordsworth
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o"er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Outdid the sparkling waves in glee;
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company;
I gazed .. and gazed .. but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
나는 구름처럼 외롭게 방황했네
계곡과 언덕 위로 높이 떠다니는
구름처럼 외롭게 방황하다
문득 나는 한 무리를 보았네
수 많은 황금빛 수선화들
호숫가 나무 아래에서
미풍에 나부끼며 춤추는 것을..
그들은 은하수에서 빛나고 반짝이는
별들처럼 이어지고
만의 가장자리를 따라
끝없이 선 속에 펼쳐져 있었네
나는 한 눈에 보았네. 수천송이 수선화가
머리를 흔들며 흥겹게 춤추는 것을.
물결도 그들 옆에서 춤추었지만, 꽃들은
환희 속에서 활기 넘친 몸짓을 했네
시인은 기쁘지 않을 수 없었네
그토록 명랑한 무리속에서
나는 바라보고 .. 바라보았지만 .. 거의 생각 할 수 없었네
그 광경이 얼마나 값진 것을 내게 가져다 주었는 지를..
공허 속에서 또한 우주에 젖은 심상 속에서
종종 나의 긴 소파에 누워 있을 때면,
고독의 행복 속에 있는 내부의 눈에
수선화들이 문득 떠오르곤 하네.
그러면 내 마음은 기쁨으로 가득 차고
그 수선화들과 함께 춤 추고 있네..
