Honore Daumier,오노레 도미에 (French, 1808-1879) 시사만화와 드로잉으로 유명한 19세기 프랑스의 화가로 주요 작품은 [3등 열차]와 [이주민들] 유리공의 아들로 태어나 책방 점원으로 일하면서 사회와 인간을 관찰했고 발자크와 교류했다. 본격적으로 예술가가 되기로 한 후, 초기에는 석판화와 풍자만화를 주로 그렸고, 후기에는 인상파 화가로 활동했다. 그는 정치와 사회를 풍자한 시사만화와 드로잉으로 특히 유명하다. 그의 그림은 그가 생존했을 당시에 거의 알려지지는 않았지만, 근대미술에 인상주의 기법을 도입하는 데 이바지했다.
